What We Believe

We believe that the entire Bible, both Old and New Testament, is the inspired Word of God, written by men who were inspired by the Holy Spirit to write the Scriptures, and therefore we believe that the whole Bible, in the original texts, is without error in all areas. Thus we believe that the Bible is the final authority to which all doctrine and practice must be measured.
(2Timothy 3:6-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21;1 Corinthians 2:13)

We believe that there is one God, who is one Being, eternally existing in three separate and distinct Persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:18-19; Mark 12:29; John 1:1, 14; Acts 5:3-4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Hebrews 1:1-8)

We believe that man was originally created by God in the image of God, that man fell through sin, and that as a consequence of sin man lost his spiritual life becoming dead in sin and subject to the power of the devil. We also believe that this fallen state has been passed along to all humans (Jesus Christ alone being the one and only exception to this) and therefore all humans are lost.
(Genesis 1:26, 2:17, 6:5; Psalm 14:13, Psalm 51:5, John 3:6, 6:53; Romans 3:10-19, 3:23, 8:6-7; Ephesians 2:1-3)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the express image of the Almighty God, which is to say that He is Himself God. We believe that Jesus became fully human, being conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, that He died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of the world, that He arose from the dead in the body in which He was crucified, that He physically ascended into Heaven where He is now seated at the right hand of the Father and is our interceding High Priest, being both fully God and fully sinless man.
(Colossians 1:15; Philippians 2:5-8; Matthew 1:18-25; 1 Peter 2:24-25;Luke 24; Hebrews 4:14-16)

We believe that God is the Creator of the heavens and the Earth and of all things, both seen and unseen, and that man is a created being. We believe that God completed His creation in a literal week of six, 24 hour days as stated in the Bible, and that on the seventh day He rested.
(Genesis 1 & 2)

We believe that all of mankind is dead through sin, that no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born again. We believe that mankind's redemption has been accomplished solely by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was made to be sin and redeemed us from the curse of the law, dying in our place, and we believe that no human work can add in the very least degree to the merit of the work accomplished by Christ.
(Isaiah 65:6; Matthew 1:26 & 28; John 3:7-18; Romans 6:6-9; 2 Corinthians 5:21; James 1:18; Galatians 3:13, 6:15, Titus 3:5; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:18-19 & 23; Philippians 3:4-9)

We further believe that salvation is by God's grace and comes only through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
(John 1:12; 3:16; 18, 36, 5:24, Acts 13: 38-39; 16:31; Romans 1:16-17, 3:22, 26, 4:5, 10:4, Galatians 3:22)

We believe that the Holy Spirit, Who is the Third Person of the Holy Trinity, dwells in every believer, that He baptizes every believer into the Body of Christ, and that He seals the believer unto the day of redemption. We further believe that the Holy Spirit provides continued filling for power, teaching, and to enable service for those believers who are yielded to Him and are subject to His will.
(John 14:16-17, 16:7-15; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 2:22, 4:30, 5:18; 1 Corinthians 12:13)

We believe that the Christian is called with a holy calling to walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit, and to live in the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit so that we will not gratify the desires of our flesh and thus dishonor our Lord.
(Romans 6:11-13, 8:2, 4, 12-13; Galatians 5:16-23; 1 Peter 1: 14-16; Ephesians 4:22-24; Colossians 2:1-10; 1 John 1:4-7, 3:5-9)

We believe that it is the explicit message of our Lord Jesus Christ to those that He has saved that they are sent forth by Him into the world as ambassadors and witnesses to make Christ known to the world.
(Matthew 28:18-19; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; John 17:18; 2 Corinthians 5:18-20)

We believe in Water Baptism and the Lord's Supper (Communion), and consider this Communion to be open for participation to all Christians (all those who proclaim Jesus as their Lord and Savior) who are present. We practice water baptism by immersion, and we believe that this is an outward sign and testimony of a decision to accept salvation by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, we do not baptize those who have not made such a decision, including infants. We do, however, encourage parents to dedicate their children to the Lord.
(Matthew 28:19; Luke 22:19-20; Acts 10:47-48, 16:32-33, 18:7-8; 1Corinthians 11:26; Exodus 13:1-2; 1 Samuel 28; Luke 2:22-23)

We believe that the divine enabling gifts for service (Baptism of the Holy Spirit) are bestowed by the Holy Spirit upon all who are saved, and we further believe that spiritual gifts, including speaking with tongues, are given in this age as the Spirit wills and shall continue to be given until the Lord's return.
(1 Peter 4:10; Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12, 13 & 14; Ephesians 4:11)

We believe that it is impossible to separate healing from the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, and therefore we believe that God still heals His people in spirit, in soul and in body. We also believe that as the Christian seeks the things of God and serves God, that he may trust in God to provide for his physical needs, and that God shall even provide more so that we may be in a position to share with others.
(Psalm 103:3, Isaiah 53:5; Exodus 15:26; Proverbs 4:20-22; Psalm107:20; 3John 2; Matthew 9:35; Luke 6:19; 1 Peter 2:24; James 5:14-15; Mark 16:17-18; Matthew 6:25-33;Philippians 4:19; Malachi 3:10; 2 Corinthians 9:10-11)

We believe that this present age is rapidly coming to a close, and that the next great event in the fulfillment of Bible prophesy will be the coming of the Lord in the air to receive to Himself those believers who have previously died in Jesus as well as those believers who are still alive at that time. We believe that this event, also called "The Rapture" of the Church, will be followed by a period called in the Bible the "Great Tribulation", which will end with the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to Earth with power and glory to introduce His millennial kingdom.
